Registration: All eligible applications submitted by the application deadline are entered into the lottery, which is conducted per pre-approved guidelines. Students are selected based on pre-defined, Board-approved criteria such as sibling and staff priorities. Parents will be emailed if their child has been selected once the lottery is completed. Documents Needed:
- Applicant’s name (first, last, and middle names)
- Applicant’s birth date
- Applicant’s current grade level and grade applied for
- Applicant’s residential address
- Phone numbers
- Applicant’s parents’ name and signature
- Whether the applicant has a sibling already admitted to attend the school
Academic Placement: Per the MIC3 guidelines, students will be placed at the appropriate grade level based on their previous enrollment or educational assessment.

Prekindergarten: HSE meets the requirements for free public school prekindergarten for a child of an active-duty member of the armed forces, the National Guard, or a reserve component of the armed forces who is ordered to active duty by proper authority.
